Stereo3D & Highspeed Underwater

Stereo3D & Highspeed Underwater – at the Underwater Studio in Berlin

UnderWater_3D_Highspeed_page.pngIn this workshop we go swimming. Sophisticated underwater shots are very complex in their preparation and execution. What challenges are you facing above water and in the water and how can they be mastered?

The preparation starts with choosing the right equipment for the specific situation. How camera equipment and lights are tested and used is crucial. Depending on the requirements you must rig, seal and test your equipment no matter if you are shooting in a pool or in open waters.

Buoyancy is one of the key elements to be stable underwater. Learn how to maintain your balance with your breathing, movements and an optimum weight distribution. The usage of available light or extra lighting equipment is a big part of the workshop in the filmyard pool. Learn the use of reflectors at different depths and understand the corresponding spectral changes.

Just as important as your equipment is your work and communication skills with the underwater model. We will have a professional underwater model for the workshop that you can shoot.

Preparation plays again a major role: breathing, movement, costume and weight distribution as well as communication are key elements to a successful shoot.

This challenging course is limited to a few participants. Private diving equipment and experience are essential!
